Rayne -she looks like crap right now but is on the mend. No more embedded fingernails, pyometra, or hair mats. Thank you to everyone who donated to her care. Teamwork definitely made her dream work.

Save Our Strays took in a second kitty, this week who was suffering from severe neglect. He was entirely covered in mats, which make it extremely painful for the kitty that has to wear it.  I literally shaved him like a sheep.

 This won’t reach the people that need to know that AMAZON sells a hair cut vacuum for $60.  It’s really not that difficult.  Please if you see a long-haired, friendly cat outside, reach out for help to save them. If you choose to ignore a condition /problem with a cat, it’s called neglect. If they are on your property, it’s considered your cat.  When you see something, say something. If you don’t know what to do, post on social media/ASK for help. Do not stop searching until you find help.

Looking to volunteer and make new friends? Like cats and caring for them but, don’t know where to try and help out?  We have fun at Save Our Strays.
 You have to be able to take on emotionally the good and bad side of rescue. It is not for everyone but, some fall in love and keep coming back.

It is SO easy because you can pick your own time of the day or an afternoon/evening shift. You could also pick a cleaning or just socialization time slot.  You will fall in love with the cats, watch them heal and grow stronger and then be so happy when they find their way.  A roller coaster of emotions, but definitely exciting and rewarding. You could also add volunteering for a nonprofit to your résumé.
