Last Tuesday, our SYEP cohort of Bee Ambassadors put on a wonderful community showcase at the Sunset Park farm, capping off their six weeks with City Growers in style! 🌼🪴🐝

The youth participants taught community members how to make flower crowns and shared zines they created, with topics ranging from green spaces in Sunset Park to the benefits of mullein. They also gave a guided tour to more than 50 attendees, sharing seedlings and everything they’ve learned and cultivated in the past summer.

Congratulations to the Bee Ambassadors for an incredible showcase, and thank you to all those who came out to support our cohort! 💐💐💐

What a wonderful few weeks it’s been with our incredible SYEP cohort of Bee Ambassadors! 🐝🌱

Our participants have been working hard on the farm while building new skills in urban agriculture, urban ecology, teamwork, and environmental justice all while exploring what it means to create more climate-resilient communities.

We can’t believe there’s only one week left! What a special summer it’s been. 💛🌻. Thank you VALERY RIZZO for these gorgeous photos
