Wonderful feature story in Bass Magazine online covered by the one and only Chris Jisi!!
Danette Albetta was instrumental in making sure we all put this celebration front and center.

Chris was instrumental in helping the Jimmy Celebration come alive. Eternally grateful to him and Danette Albetta’s in helping to reach out to artists, come up with some plans of action, and generally pushing for this to happen the way it did. Thank you Chris and Danette and the Bass Magazine team in helping this story come alive! ♥️💯

Extraordinary situations require extraordinary human beings to step in…

Vinny Fodera and team helping bring Jimmy’s bass a little more resonance!

(The 6-string bass you also see is the FIRST 6-string bass EVER made,
envisioned by Anthony Jackson and assembled by Carl Thompson.) Ultimately
Vinny Fodera and Anthony created the first fully functioning 6-string bass
ever, and the rest is history. Even my 5-string wouldn’t be a thing without
that critical, visionary work.

I needed a little bit of work done on Jimmy’s bass and asked Vinny, who kindly offered his boundless expertise
and unique craftsmanship to help fix some pretty serious items. He did it, it sounds wonderful and is ready
to be put in the hands of the masters if they so choose.

Deeply grateful to Vinny, Joey, and Laura for their help, vision, and love!

Come hear the instrument in action in this once-in-a-lifetime event happening at ShapeShifter Lab
this coming September 16 and 17, 2026!
