Handwoven accessory nonprofit transforming the lives of rural communities across the Americas by fostering craftsmanship and entrepreneurship.

THE THREE PILLARS OF OUR PROGRAMS:
• Business Education Programs – We lead community-‐based education programs to help women build and run successful
community businesses. Our curriculum covers business management, financial literacy, and women’s leadership.

• Market Access – We secure high-‐volume sales orders with major U.S. companies, ensuring that artisans can earn a sustainable
wage for their craftsmanship.

• Asset Development – We provide access to micro-‐credit to help artisans purchase foot looms, industrial sewing machines, and other tools that help them work more efficiently. In addition, we help them set up savings accounts so they can build their personal and business assets.

For more than a decade, the Kavanaugh family has poured their time, generosity, and heart into the Mercado Global community, showing up for us again and again and helping us celebrate the people and craftsmanship at the heart of our work.

From Insight Trips in Guatemala to gatherings in the Bay Area, the Kavanaughs’ support has spanned generations of Mercado Global’s story, a true family legacy of giving that we’re endlessly grateful for.
