This summer is gonna be a “Disaster!” NOT!!
Join us for this fun look back at those addictive movies of the 70’s. From “HOT STUFF” to “FEELINGS” and sinking ships to shark attacks, you will have the cruise of a lifetime!

oin us as we present Disaster!

Earthquakes, tidal waves, infernos and the unforgettable songs of the '70s take center stage in Broadway’s side-splitting homage to classic disaster films!

Disaster! is a new musical straight from Broadway, featuring some of the most unforgettable songs of the '70s. "Knock on Wood," "Hooked on a Feeling," "Sky High," "I Am Woman" and "Hot Stuff" are just a few of the scintillating hits in this hilarious musical comedy with a book by three-time Emmy Award nominee and SiriusXM Broadway host, Seth Rudetsky, and Jack Plotnick.

It's 1979, and New York's hottest A-listers are lining up for the opening of a floating casino and discotheque. Also attending is a faded disco star, a sexy nightclub singer with her eleven-year-old twins, a disaster expert, a feminist reporter, an older couple with a secret, a pair of young guys who are looking for ladies, an untrustworthy businessman and a nun with a gambling addiction. What begins as a night of boogie fever quickly changes to panic as the ship succumbs to multiple disasters, such as earthquakes, tidal waves and infernos. As the night turns into day, everyone struggles to survive and, quite possibly, repair the love that they've lost... or at least escape the killer rats.

Audiences and critics are wild for this hilarious homage to the era of bell-bottoms, platform shoes and the hustle. With larger-than-life characters, snappy dialogue and some of the most recognizable songs of the '70s, Disaster! will have your patrons dancing in their seats and rolling in the aisles.

Every song begins with a moment of silence - a time to prepare, take a breath, and step into the song.

We love this moment of anticipation. It is a moment when anything is possible!

Get into the zone this summer!

Singnasium is thrilled to offer one of our original classes!!

Connecting your mind, body, spirit and voice.

In this unique class, Kristine helps students to access their most authentic, intuitive singing and performing voice. Kristine brings her 45 years as a performer, 15 plus years as a teacher as well as her her training as a certified RYT® yoga instructor and meditation teacher, incorporating yoga, breathing, and mindfulness techniques to open the body and mind. You don’t have to be a practitioner of yoga or meditation; these are simple poses and techniques that can help enable you to connect more deeply with your material and your instincts as a performer. Then, you’ll sing the song and let it go where it goes. We’ll break it down and discuss what’s working and not working in the piece. The focus will be on how you’re feeling it and how to help you get more connected to the present moment while you’re singing. The aim is to take you out of your head and put yourself fully in the material. Ultimately, these techniques can also be helpful for finding the way into newer material or to revisit old material you haven’t been able to crack yet. For the first class or two, students might wish to start with material they are familiar with musically and lyrically, but please bring several options to every class.

Class Description
At the beginning, there will be 10-15 minutes of simple yoga poses (modifications will be made available as each person needs them, and may be done in a chair) intended to help energy move through the body as well as stretch and open up commonly tight areas such as the lower back, hips and shoulders followed by 5-10 minutes of meditation using various techniques, alternate nostril breathing, simple connection to breathing in breathing out, dealing with thoughts, tapping, mountain meditation and more. This will be done as a group for the first 20 minutes, then, we will work individually on your material. While the first person works, the next person will be able to prepare outside using breathing, mediation, and yoga techniques from class to help you in your work.
