The Lloyd Richards New Futures Residency is a yearlong program for mid-career directors and choreographers interested in institutional leadership.
Named in honor of Lloyd Richards, the legendary American theatre leader who directed some of the most significant plays on Black life in the 20th century, the residency helps cultivate the next generation of artistic leaders. Learn more through the link in our bio.
The 2026-2027 Lloyd Richards New Futures Residency Selection Committee included Lydia Fort, Anne Kauffman, Awoye Timpo, and Cezar Williams, and was chaired by Justin Emeka.
