We are currently accepting applications for two roles this summer: Research & Social Media

This week, our Co-Founder and CEO Jean Oelwang will be presenting at the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business conference in Orlando. There, alongside Julianne Holt-Lunstad PhD and NASA astronaut Cady Coleman, she will be discussing our Collaboration Architect Toolkit and how to take the principles laid out in our materials to practice in business schools and beyond.

It is on our leaders to invest in everyone who works at their companies or schools, because the collaboration that comes out of providing that space can literally help save the world.

One in six people on earth feel lonely. That’s the number the World Health Organization put on it last year — and the part that stays with us is the next one: loneliness is linked to about 100 deaths every hour.

This year’s World Mental Health Day theme is “Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change,” and it matters because the numbers only tell you the scale. The voices tell you what to do.

Connection isn’t a soft add-on to mental health. The WHO now calls it a third pillar, alongside physical and mental health. We’d add: it’s the pillar you can’t build alone. So let’s build it together.

Teachers are asked to be curriculum experts, counselors, data analysts, and referees — and then, on top of it all, to make thirty kids feel like they belong.

On World Teachers’ Day, we want to be honest about that last one: belonging isn’t a program you can hand a teacher. It’s built in the smallest moments of a school day, and it depends on a teacher having the right tool at the right moment.

Happy birthday, Jimmy Carter. 🎁

There is a version of leadership that ends when the term does. And there is the version that President Jimmy Carter chose.

Born October 1, 1924, he spent the four decades after the White House doing the least glamorous, most durable kind of work: monitoring elections, eradicating disease, swinging hammers on job sites, and — with Rosalynn, across 77 years of marriage — modeling what it looks like when two people treat a shared purpose as the center of a life rather than a project inside it.

He was a founding member of The Elders, built on a simple premise: working toward peace and human rights with no other agenda.

On what would have been his 102nd birthday, we’re thinking about the difference between a legacy you leave and one you build with other people, on purpose. 💙
