THE TENANTS, UNITED, WILL NEVER BE DEFEATED โœŠ๐Ÿฟ

This morning, tenants on E 103rd launched the East Harlem Tenant Union with a clear message: BUYERS BACK OFF OUR BLOCK ๐Ÿ“ฃ

The buildings are heading to foreclosure auction on June 10th, and tenants of are organizing with CVH for a sale to Community Land Trust instead of another slumlord.

The buildings carry more than 2,300 housing code violations across 38 properties.

It's time for a change.

On April 29, the Supreme Court issued a 6โ€“3 ruling in Louisiana v. Callais that significantly weakened Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act โ€” one of the most important protections against racial discrimination in how congressional districts are drawn.

In this week's , CVH Deputy Director explains what happened.

This isn't just a Southern issue. This ruling sets national precedent, and districts here in New York are more vulnerable because of it.

Here's what you can do:
โœ… Make sure you're registered to vote
โœ… Contact your legislators and demand they pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and the Freedom to Vote Act

Share this with someone who needs to know. ๐Ÿ”
