As temperatures rise again this week, no one – especially vulnerable seniors – should have to face dangerous heat alone.

For isolated older adults who may not have reliable access to air conditioning, cooling centers across our partner agencies like 14th Street Y, Commonpoint Sam Field Center, JASA, and more provide more than just relief from the heat. They offer community and connection when it's needed most.

Together, we’re helping New Yorkers of all ages have a place to turn, through every season.

Last week, our community came together for 78 Minutes of Hope in recognition of Yom Ha’Atzmaut.

Through art, storytelling, and conversation, we reflected on resilience, strength, and the power of gathering in community.
