Congratulations to our new Missions and Men's Director, Pastor David Wooten! It's an honor to have David and Debbie join the team of AMN Directors. They bring years of lead pastoral ministry to this role. David has also served as the Birmingham Sectional Presbyter and Assistant Missions and Men's Director faithfully for many years. Our best days are ahead!

AMN’s Ministers’ Gathering in Gatlinburg, TN was an incredible time of rest, fellowship, and prayer with one another. We are so thankful for the ministers who were able to be with us! Missionary Joil Marbut brought a great word during the evening services. Tuesday morning, we had a Q&A time with some of our new executive leadership team.

Our KidMin crew were blessed by the ministry of Pastor Annie Miller and the one and only, Dr. Beaker!

PRAYER FOR HURRICANE ISAIAS
Please continue to agree with us in prayer about all of those in the path of Hurricane Isaias. This is projected to be a high impact storm for all of those along the Alabama and Florida Gulf Coast.

Pray for the communities and families who may be impacted by this storm. Pray especially for those in the projected path, for safety and protection, and for first responders and emergency personnel who will be serving during and after this storm.

Let's also pray specifically that the storm will weaken before it makes landfall- minimizing potential for damage, flooding or loss of life.

We are thankful that Convoy of Hope is already preparing to respond. Their Disaster Relief team is mobilizing resources and stands ready to provide aid and assistance to churches and communities that may be impacted by this storm.

The Lord is our refuge and strength in time of trouble. Thank you for helping us cover these communities in prayer.

Yesterday, this room was full of Presbyters from across Alabama. God’s work is moving forward in a mighty way. Today, this room will be a gathering place for our District Officials and support staff as we have a devotion and lift up our churches, missionaries, and ministers in prayer.

Announcing Rev. David Strahan’s Resignation:
The Alabama Ministry Network officially announces the resignation of our Network Missions and Men’s Director, Rev. David Strahan, as he has accepted the AG National Men’s & LFTL Director position at the National Office. There will be a Special Called Network Conference Business Meeting to elect a new Network Missions and Men’s Director. This meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 20th at Montgomery First Assembly of God. All Alabama actively credentialed ministers and one duly appointed church delegate are authorized to vote in this election. Delegates must present a letter on church letterhead, signed by the pastor, designating them as the delegate. This must be presented at the registration desk on October 20th to receive your voting badge. Voters are requested to pre-register for the election using the link provided below. Please register online by Monday, October 12th. If you are unable to register online, please email [email protected] to request assistance. Childcare will not be provided as we do not anticipate the business session to be lengthy.

ON-SITE REGISTRATION will be limited from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM. Please plan your arrival time accordingly. All voters will need to stop by the registration table in the lobby to pick up your voter’s badge and guide during 11:00 AM-12:30 PM. Business will begin promptly at 1:00 PM.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE: Ministers who are eligible for election as Network Missions and Men’s Director must meet the following criteria:
-They must have held their ordination for a minimum of one year prior to the time of election.
-They must have been a member of the Alabama Ministry Network for a minimum of one year prior to the time of election.
-They must be in compliance with the Network stewardship policy according to the bylaws.

RECEPTION TO FOLLOW: Pastor David has faithfully served the Alabama Ministry Network, and we would like to honor him and Susan at a reception following the business meeting. Please make plans to attend the reception to celebrate their new venture and thank them for their service. There will be a table made available for anyone who would like to bring a personal gift or card to bless the Strahans.
