Not only are these two amazing individuals the best of friends, but they are also successful partners in their business endeavors. Their collaboration always brings excitement, especially during the holiday season when they work together to spread joy and generosity. This year, they have joined forces for our "Santa for Seniors" donation drive, a heartfelt initiative that aims to brighten the holidays for those in need. This holiday season, Transitions Technical College, Inc., Make The Transition Foundation, Inc., Little Dreamer’s Learning Center, and Next Step Learning Center are uniting with a common goal: to collect donations for over 200 seniors in our community who may otherwise go without during this special time of year. We invite local patrons and community members to contribute by donating items that can help bring comfort and joy to these seniors. Below is a list of items that are greatly needed:
**Canned soup**: Easy to prepare and nourishing.
**Crackers**: Such as saltines or Ritz, perfect for snacking.
**Granola**: Healthy and filling, ideal for breakfast or a quick snack.
**Peppermint**: Both hard and soft varieties are welcome for a seasonal treat.
**Hard candy**: Favorites like Werther's Original provide a sweet surprise.
**Moon Pies**: A delightful treat loved by many.
**Nikos**: Cookies or crackers that add a touch of sweetness.
**Tea or coffee**: Small sizes are appreciated for a cozy beverage.
**Hot chocolate**: A comforting drink to warm up during the winter months.

**Sanitary wipes**: Essential for personal hygiene.

If you would like to make a monetary donation, or if you’d like to purchase a Personalized Santa Sack for $25, these options are also available. Each Santa Sack is thoughtfully prepared and can offer a personal touch to the seniors we serve. Additionally, if you know of any seniors aged 65 and older who would greatly benefit from receiving one of our Santa Sacks, please take a moment to nominate them. You can do this by emailing Mrs. Williams with their name, address, and age at [email protected]. This act of kindness could bring great joy to those who may feel alone during the holiday season.
We plan to start personally delivering the Santa Sacks on December 20, 2024. Our team, including Ms. Thompson, Ms. Horton, or one of our dedicated faculty members, will ensure that these special gifts reach their recipients directly. Please join us in making this holiday season a memorable one for our seniors. Your contributions, whether through donations or nominations, will help bring joy, warmth, and a sense of community to those who need it most. Thank you for your kindness and support!
