Children's of Alabama Midtown Pediatrics joined Reach Out and Read-Alabama in October 2019. They have provided almost 13,000 books since then during well visits, with clinicians talking with parents about the benefits of reading aloud and providing advice for engaging infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with the books.

More signs are popping up at Reach Out and Read-Alabama sites

Today, we visited two of our newest sites: Chatom Primary Care and Southwest Alabama Health Services .

These clinics play a vital role in introducing the program to Washington County and are dedicated to connecting with more families, strengthening communities, and fostering healthier futures for all children in the area.

They have provided over 15,000 books since then during well visits, with clinicians talking with parents about the benefits of reading aloud and providing advice for engaging infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with the books.
