Who came up with Minnesota’s Permanent School Fund amendment? 🤔

The proposal didn’t start with MASA or a political campaign. It grew out of the work of a nine-member expert task force created by the Minnesota Legislature to study the Permanent School Fund and how its earnings are distributed.

After extensive research and analysis, the Task Force unanimously recommended modernizing the fund’s distribution model. The proposal went on to receive bipartisan support in the Minnesota Legislature—including unanimous support in the Minnesota House.
