We're proud to share that Reading Corps, Math Corps, and Early Learning Corps tutors will be on-site at Pratt Elementary School in Minneapolis supporting students this school year! A partnership that goes back more than a decade, the focus has always been to work together to help local students boost their skills and confidence.

It's all thanks to the team at Pratt and their commitment to helping us deliver evidence-based tutoring solutions. Special shoutout to Principal Justyn Burgess who helps us put our mission in action! A former behavioral therapist for students ages 3-8, Jayda was looking for a change of pace when she found Early Learning Corps. As a tutor to pre-kindergarteners in California, she spends her days building relationships with students to help them ignite a love for learning.

One moment that Jayda looks back on fondly was during Teacher Appreciation Week when a student gave her flowers to express her gratitude for Jayda's support. Her experience as a tutor has even inspired her to return to college, where she will work toward her goal of becoming a teacher!

We are so grateful for the care and commitment you put into your work with our youngest learners, Jayda. Thank you for helping us make a difference in California!

Located in Poughkeepsie, New York, Krieger Elementary partners with Math Corps and Early Learning Corps to bring evidence-based tutoring to students reading and math. Our collaboration began with Math Corps in 2023, and we have since served 256 students. This past school year, we extended our services to early learners, with tutors helping more than 40 children build essential foundational skills ahead of kindergarten!

We are so appreciative of Principal Melissa Barrow and the entire Krieger Elementary team for helping us serve more students in New York. Our deepest gratitude to every local tutor who has served, and a very special welcome to the eight who will be joining us for the 2026-27 school year — we are confident that you will make a lasting impact!

On Monday, tutors across the country gathered virtually and in-person to kick off the 2026-27 school year! They spent the day connecting with peers, trading experiences, and sharing goals for the upcoming service term. It was great to see some familiar faces and welcome new tutors to our incredible Early Learning Corps team!

On this , help us celebrate Cherri, an Early Learning Tutor in Miami Gardens, Florida. She originally discovered Early Learning Corps through a friend who had served as a tutor. Although it's her first time working with children, she says the experience has been lots of fun!

Cherri is excited to continue building on her skill set — especially when it comes to tutoring and personal development. The opportunity has even inspired her to work towards a Child Development Associate credential, which will help her share her knowledge with youth in her community.

We are so glad that Early Learning Corps provided you with an opportunity to find your passion, Cherri. Thank you for being a part of our mission to help young students ignite a love for learning!

We are proud to highlight Sheridan Hills Elementary, a long-time school partner! This fall, we're excited to have Reading Corps, Math Corps, and Early Learning Corps tutors on-site to bring individualized support and skill-building to Richfield area students.

As we head into the upcoming school year, we recognize that our mission would not be possible without the wonderful tutors who have positively impacted students throughout the years. Special shoutout to Reading Tutor Thomas, who has been with the Sheridan Hills community for the past three years! He will be joined by Reading Tutors William and Gilbert this upcoming school year, along with Math Tutor Victoria and Early Learning Tutor Mihret — welcome!

Thank you to Principal Yvette Garcia and local staff for helping us expand this important work to students at every stage of learning development. We are excited to help build more confident, well-rounded scholars who are ready to take on more challenges in school and beyond!

Number sense is an essential skill needed for later success, which is why Early Learning Corps prioritizes it in the early years. By exposing early learners to subitizing, object counting, and comparison activities regularly, 87% of students grew in their numeracy skills!

We're excited to build on this demonstrated progress during the upcoming school year and are still looking for incredible tutors to join the impact! Visit Join.ReadingandMath.org to find opportunities beginning in October.

On this , we would like to introduce you to Anna! With more than five years of experience in childcare and non-profit work, her passion lies in promoting learning and friendship in her young students.

As an Early Learning Tutor who served in our inaugural cohort in Rochester, New York, this past school year, Anna says she loves getting to show children something new. She also enjoys seeing her students interact and form strong bonds, noting that it brings her joy when she sees her students show empathy toward one another.

Anna will return this fall to continue her work with young students in the Rochester area, and we can't wait to see her impact go even further. Thank you for helping our young students ignite a love of learning, Anna!
