The National Center for Gender Health was selected for the 2026 Clarity Award from the American Psychological Association’s Division 44: Society for the Psychology of Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity.

The Clarity Award recognizes outstanding organizations that have made major accomplishments in advocating for and advancing the human rights of LGBTQ+ individuals and demonstrates a deep commitment to collective efforts for driving systemic human rights and social justice progress. This award celebrates groups whose work has an impact across domains, including research, treatment, and advocacy, and is meant to honor collective, organizational efforts.

“The T in LGBTQ+ is not an inconvenience. It never was. And the fight for our shared humanity is not a fight any of us can win alone…Speak up for us when we can’t be in the room. Walk alongside us at protests. Give your financial support directly to trans organizations.” -From this article by Jordan Olsen

The National Center for Gender Health (formerly, National Center for Gender Spectrum Health; I’m the director) welcomes your support and donations: https://makingagift.umn.edu/give/fund.html?id=21625 #0

The T in LGBTQ+ is not an inconvenience. It never was. And the fight for our shared humanity is not a fight any of us can win alone.
