"Aspire!" written by church members Lori Sturdevant and Bobbie Keller with research by Phil Wala, was selected as one of three finalists in the History category for the Midwest Book Awards hosted by the Midwest Independent Publishers Association. This past weekend, Lori, Bobbie, and Phil attended the awards ceremony where their book received Honorable Mention!

"Aspire!" chronicles the 150 year history of the church from its origin as a splintered congregation within the Minneapolis Methodist community through the first hundred and fifty years of growth, decline and renewal. From the spirited revivals and temperance lectures of the late 1800s to the challenges of a global pandemic, it’s the story of how the people of one church were touched by the social, political and religious times in which they lived, and how they, in turn, continued to practice their faith, working to enhance their community and the wider world around them. The book is available for purchase at the Front Desk.

Tuesdays are for community gardening! Join Creation Collective and others in caring for our garden! Meet on Tuesday evenings from 6-8pm throughout the summer and into the fall—weather permitting! All are welcome to join us, no matter what your gardening experience is!

Local produce that is harvested throughout the fall will be donated to Groveland Food Shelf and Community Meals.

CONSTRUCTION POSTPONED due to expected weather issues.
Cross removal and street closures are now scheduled for Monday, June 22 - Thursday, June 25. **Groveland Ave will be closed from 9AM-3PM between Lyndale Ave and Clifton Pl on June 22-25.**
