Thank You! Such an amazing response from so many people. The new fridge is installed; we feel so blessed and supported that so many people came to our aid so quickly—THANKS!

Didn’t have a chance to donate yet? Don’t feel left out; the GoFundMe is still live (https://gofund.me/3826b66dc). You can donate to help us fill the fridge with fresh food for next week when we welcome Rockhurst High School for a service trip.

Come and see the new fridge in action on Tuesday night for community night! (RSVP here: https://tinyurl.com/5p4fvtu7)

Did you know there are two questions which effect housing on the upcoming ballot in KCMO August 4th?

Jerusalem Farm has used the Housing Trust Fund as an essential tool to rehab abandoned homes for our Northeast Land Trust and also the Central City Economic Development (CCED) fund to complete essential home repairs for homeowners.

We believe that housing is essential and should be prioritized in the Cities budget.

At 9th and Van Brunt Athletic Fields, there are over 100 flags painted alongside the road. They had faded a bit. Thanks to Wick Thomas for Missouri KC Parks Lykins Neighborhood and many many more…these flags were restored plus new flags were added to fully represent our community.

Our JFarm crew was able to participate. We painted the Karen (Knyaw) flag which represents many of our companions. We also painted the Congolese flag which also represents many of our staff.

I learned some details about the flag. The Knyaw flag has red which represents courage. White represents purity and integrity of the Knyaw people. The blue represents peace and the 9 rays of the sun represent their regions.

The Congolese flag also has blue which represents peace. Red represents the blood of lives lost in war and the yellow star is hope and wealth of their land.

At JFarm we strive to build the beloved community which brings people from all walks of life, cultures, territories together on a shared journey of service towards the common good and communion with one another.

We are blessed to do our small part and support projects like this which celebrate people and land

Grateful for our trade partners, LIUNA and The Builders AGC for meeting with our Great Jobs KC cohorts to share about the many opportunities in construction.

We graduated our third cohort where individuals receive hands on training while working on affordable housing and minor home repair projects.

Ryōgoku Soccer Academy is doing great things in our community keeping kids healthy, active and civically engaged.

We are grateful for the opportunity to help select youth from our community who get to attend a World Cup game, walk out with players on the field and be treated as VIP.

While many of us only remember Mohandas K. Gandhi for his nonviolent protests, few of us realize that the bulk of his Satyagraha (Nonviolence) efforts were devoted to an extensive and interactive MASS EDUCATION CAMPAIGN meant to prepare the people of India for the prospect of Freedom attained through Truth-based means.

Join us for this FREE, one-day workshop at the Farm to learn how we, too, can embrace the power of Satyagraha education to move people beyond merely responding to injustice, toward embracing a transformative reality of justice to affect lasting change instead!

A free vegetarian lunch will be provided. Register early so we know how many to expect:
