More of this...as a Community we should walk together and talk about solutions and implementation of community development plans.

It was an opportunity for the mayor to see what is happening in the neighborhood and hear directly from residents about their concerns and priorities.

💜 A Beautiful Morning on Independence Avenue! 💜

What a way to kick off our Friday! ☀️

A huge THANK YOU to Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas and his team, community leaders, business owners, and neighbors who joined us for a walk down Independence Avenue this morning!

And of course, the Avenue knows how to show some hospitality! ❤️

🍦 Frutopia KCMO a treated walkers to delicious popsicles!

🥃 Our wonderful neighbors welcomed us with hot toddies featuring bourbon from one of our local favorites, J. Rieger & Co.!

🏫 Kansas City University shared about their continued investment in the Paseo Gateway and throughout the Northeast community.

💜 A special shoutout to our Kansas City Missouri Police Department CIO officers, USA Ambassadors, and Avenue Angels for helping make the morning a success!

Beyond the treats and smiles, today was an opportunity to showcase our incredible community, celebrate our progress, and have meaningful conversations about the challenges and opportunities ahead.

Because the best way to understand a community is to walk it, listen to its people, and see it for yourself.

Thank you to everyone who continues to believe in the future of Independence Avenue!

💜 Only on the Ave! 💜
