Yesterday was one of those days I’ll carry with me for a long time.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who made F Ice Love Our Barrios such a beautiful and powerful gathering. To every single vendor who showed up and shared your work, your culture, and your heart—thank you for helping create such a vibrant community space.

A huge thank you to Chewy Soliqui, Slikc Vic, and Entre Nos for bringing the energy, the music, and the love that kept us all connected throughout the day. Your talent and dedication made this event unforgettable.

To our incredible speakers—thank you for your courage. Thank you for speaking up, speaking out, and sharing your voices on the immigration crisis. Your words reminded us why we continue to organize, advocate, and stand together.

As the evening came to a close, ending the event at CCA at LEC was especially emotional. It was heartwarming to see our community gathered together in that space one last time. There was so much love, laughter, reflection, and unity in the room.

And the Chicana mural… it has always been more than a painting. It has stood as a symbol of our history, our resilience, and our identity. Seeing it as part of this final gathering made the moment even more meaningful. It reminded me that while spaces may change, the stories, culture, and community we’ve built together will continue to live on.

Thank you to everyone who came, volunteered, performed, spoke, supported, and believed in this event. My heart is full. Our barrios are strong because of all of you, and I am so grateful to have shared this moment together.

❤️ Until next time, we keep showing up for one another.

She needed her own post. 🤎🌺

Our Chicana.

Tomorrow, she will go back into storage indefinitely.

Tonight is your last chance to stand beside her, take a photo, and honor everything she represents, our culture, our resilience, our history, and the love we have for our community.

Please come by F ICE Love Our Barrios tonight from 5:30–7:30 PM and take one last photo with her before she leaves.

She has been more than a display. She has been a symbol of pride, strength, and belonging. We don’t know when she’ll return, so let’s give her the love she deserves before we say “see you later.”

We hope to see you tonight. 🤎🌺 Chicano Center for the Arts / Latino Arts Foundation

Without community, we are nothing.

No organization can survive without the strength, love, and commitment of the people it serves. Our communities are vibrant, resilient, and beautiful—and the moment we forget that, we lose everything that truly matters.

Please join us tonight. We must stand together as one. We show up. We show out. And we give our all for those who need us most.

Your $5 donation for a ticket goes directly to Entre Nos, helping them continue the critical work they do every day on the streets of Kansas City, for us, for our families, for our sisters and brothers. ✊🏽

Tonight you’ll hear stories of hope, love, resilience, and courage. You’ll also hear the hard truths about the realities our community faces and how we can face them together.

We can get through this. We will get through this. But only if we stand together.

Please share this. Please come through. Your presence matters. Your support matters. Our community matters. ❤️
