Dolores Huerta used her voice to defend the rights of farmworkers—fighting for fair wages, safer working conditions, dignity, and a voice on the job.

For decades, she organized alongside workers and families who were too often ignored, proving that change becomes possible when people stand together.

Her voice reminds us:

“Sí, se puede” is more than a phrase. It is the power of people refusing to accept injustice as normal.

In the field, partnership became visible. In Coro Coro, every welcome, shared tradition, and conversation showed that sustainable impact depends on more than infrastructure. It grows through trust, reciprocity, community ownership, and the relationships that make people feel part of the same purpose.

Women’s rights don’t live in speeches.
They show up in the next 10 seconds, right after she speaks.

At U4C, we show up for that moment—so rights are visible in real life, not just promised in words.

Some things should be normal.
Being respected. Being heard. Being safe. Being taken seriously.

They should not require bravery.

And yet, for many women, even the most basic dignity still asks for courage.

At U4C, this is why we show up—working alongside women and communities so rights are lived in real life, not just promised in words. This quarter, means building a world where women don’t have to fight to be treated as fully human.

She used her voice to defend a basic human right: the right to live free from harassment and abuse—and to make sure survivors are believed, supported, and protected, not silenced.

In 2006, she founded Me Too to center survivors, build community support, and push for accountability.

Her voice reminds us:
When a woman says “this happened,” she deserves safety—not shame.

This April, we visited two communities in Coro Coro, Bolivia, and what we witnessed was simple and powerful: when clean water arrives closer to home, life changes.

Water becomes time back for mothers and families. It becomes health. And it restores something harder to measure: dignity.
