Hey y'all!

The CCL is hosting a Service Awards Ceremony on Monday, April 22nd to honor individuals and service clubs at Rice who have made strong contributions to the community. Join us for a lunch to celebrate Rice students' commitment to service!

We will be honoring the students who are the winners of the following awards:

The West U Rotary Community Service Award
The Caring Friends Inc. Scholarship
The Alan Grob Prize
The Morty Rich Scholarship
The Spirit of Service Award for Student Service Organizations

Apply now to be a Site Leader for Spring Outreach Day!

Outreach Day is Rice's largest campus-wide volunteer event, occurring twice every year, once in the fall and once in the spring. This last Fall Outreach Day was canceled due to Hurricane Harvey, but we are looking forward to another Spring Outreach Day on February 24th.

Site leaders put a personal touch on Outreach Day by planning the volunteer opportunities offered and coordinating with local Houston service organizations. In addition to planning, site leaders make sure Outreach Day runs smoothly, attending their volunteer opportunities with the student volunteers who sign up for their sites. This is a unique leadership opportunity and a chance to connect with an amazing group of Rice students.

No prior experience in working with service organizations is required, as site leaders will be guided through the entire process. Underclassmen and upperclassmen are encouraged to apply.

Spring Outreach Day is back! If you are interested in volunteering for a few hours in Houston on a Saturday, Outreach Day will be on March 2nd this semester. We will be volunteering at three different sites from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, and BREAKFAST will be provided! Sign up at the link below!

RSVP's Spring Outreach Day will be Saturday, March 2, 2019. This year, we will be volunteering at Mental Health America, Last Organic Outpost, , and Hermann Park. Hey RSVP!

Rice VSA is in need of volunteers for their College Leadership Workshop (CLW) on Saturday, Oct. 20th.

This is a great opportunity for volunteers to be Small Group Leaders or "O-Week Advisors" to high school students attending the workshop, and their role is to co-lead a group of 10 students through a few icebreaker sessions, and guide students from classroom to classroom during the workshop. Rice VSA will provide FREE breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a CLW t-shirt to volunteers.
