We speak up for children who are lost in the foster system and guide them into a safe environment. Volunteers who make a difference in the lives of children.

There's no easy answer to the ever-present "What is Child Advocates?"

Very simply, our organization trains and supports volunteers. These volunteers are assigned to the cases of children who have been victims of life-threatening abuse or neglect and - as a result - have been placed in protective custody. Our volunteers contact caseworkers, interview parents, ensure necessary medical care, look ou

t for educational interests and make recommendations in court regarding the permanent placement of the child. They dry tears and give hugs and throw birthday parties too. Most importantly, they serve as a "constant" person for that child to count on during a very tumultuous time. Essentially, our volunteers do whatever it takes to ensure that the needs of the child are being met while that child is in care.

Help us celebrate our Volunteer of the Month, Robyn Rosenblatt! ⭐️ Robyn has been an advocate since January 2025 and is currently working on her second case. She has been a passionate and diligent advocate for three kiddos in foster care. We are so grateful for the care and time Robyn has invested in their lives, making sure they have a consistent voice, feel supported and have their best interests represented every step of the way.

Child Advocates trains and supports court appointed advocates who speak up for children in foster care, helping ensure their safety, stability, and well-being. But this work doesn’t happen alone. Goal! ⚽🏆 During the World Cup games, high schooler Ila Reed wanted to do something special to support Child Advocates, and specifically the teenagers we serve. Bringing together friends and family, Ila hosted a watch party to share more about the mission of Child Advocates.

Together, they raised an incredible $5,000! Ila used the funds to personally shop for fun items and essentials that will benefit children and teenagers in foster care. Thank you, Ila, for your generosity and support! 🫶

What’s summer without a lemonade stand?! 🍋☀️ Four-year-old Davis is proving that you’re never too young to make a difference! He set up a lemonade stand and raised $52 for Child Advocates, helping support children in foster care right here in our community. 👏

Child Advocates is thrilled to be selected once again as a charity beneficiary of Night Court! 🎤 Come experience this over 30-year tradition of legal hilarity and help raise money for Child Advocates. Night court

Advocates will receive three grad school hours for attending. Lawyers will receive 2.5 hours of ethics CLE credits for attending.

This past Saturday, hundreds of children woke up bright and early to shop at Target for our annual Childspree! 🛍️Each child picked out brand-new clothes, toiletries and other everyday essentials, then headed home with a backpack full of school supplies to help them start the school year with confidence. It was a morning filled with smiles, excitement and the rare opportunity for children to choose items just for themselves. Thank you to our volunteers and sponsors for making this special experience possible!
