A package arrived at the Cultural Center “Our Texas.”

Many years ago, an American woman bought a colorful ceramic tile depicting the Kremlin at a Beryozka store. She has grown older (the owner, that is—and apparently the tile has, too) and decided that this little relic would be better preserved with us.

So she sent us the tile, which apparently cracked in half with age.

I think it’s rather symbolic. We have named this unexpected work of art “The Kremlin Is Cracking at the Seams.”

And here’s the best part: the original price tag is still preserved on the back—Beryozka: 1 ruble 53 kopeks.
