Meg Bites 🦈 and Dino Fights🦖 🥊

Ever wonder what happens after a fossil is discovered? Before fossils can be studied or displayed, they undergo the fascinating process of fossil preparation. The HMNS Fossil Preparation Laboratory has worked on everything from whale bones bearing the bite marks of megalodon sharks to battle-scarred T. rex teeth millions of years old.

Join Paleontology Lab Manager Colin Diggins for a behind-the-scenes look at some of the newest and most exciting additions to the HMNS paleontology collection, and discover the incredible work that brings ancient life back into view.

Tickets available online at https://www.hmns.org/events/meg-bites-dino-fights/

Clickbait isn't just about exploring the digital world, it's also a chance to learn something about yourself. Step inside this immersive exhibition and discover the hidden systems that shape how we see, share, connect, and experience life online.

Kids and teens are growing up in a constantly connected world, while many adults remember when the internet felt separate from everyday life. Clickbait brings those generations together through play, interaction, surprise, and personal discovery, creating new conversations about what really happens behind the screen.

🪰🪱 Talk about making a comeback nobody asked for...

The New World screwworm was declared eradicated from the United States decades ago, but recently made headlines after being detected in Texas. Despite the name, these aren't worms at all, they're the larvae of a fly. But unlike your average backyard maggot, screwworms feed on living tissue.

While this latest discovery has experts keeping a close eye on the situation, it's also a fascinating reminder that life... finds a way.

We're only human, after all... 👈Oh! But feel free to touch the stuff in Cabinets of Curiosities. That's what it's there ...
