New Webinar January 28!

While the number of living donor liver transplants remains low, it is steadily rising each year. With the right information and support, more people can consider this life-saving option with clarity and confidence.

Join Texas Liver Foundation, UT Southwestern Medical Center, and the American Liver Foundation for an introductory conversation about living liver donation. This webinar will cover the fundamentals, including how to choose a transplant center, what to expect during the evaluation process and surgery, as well as important questions to ask your care team. Whether you are just beginning to explore living donation or are already considering taking the next step, this session is designed to provide clear, practical information and space for learning.

Hey TLF family! We have some exciting news for our caregiver and living liver support group members. We've renamed the groups and planned focus topics throughout 2026.

Our Living Liver members are now part of the Liver Giver Club. Monthly meetups will have rotating topics that encourage discussion and support around themes/questions common to living organ donors.

Caregivers will now be a part of our Caregiver Corner. Monthly Caregiver meetups will touch on topics such as managing invisible workloads, caregiver guilt, and making sure that YOU are cared for as well.

As we start a new year, we wanted to go back to some basics about liver disease and liver health.

Liver disease is a general term that describes any condition that causes harm to the liver. Some are treatable with lifestyle changes while others require medical intervention.
