Rocky Mountain Down Syndrome Association was honored to sponsor Rim Rock Elementary School life program so they could have transportation for their peers to be in the stands cheering them on as they competed in their events TODAY !!

Today wasn’t just about games—it was about showing up for each other. 💙

Seeing peers in the stands cheering, clapping, and celebrating every moment at Mesa County Valley School District 51 Adaptive Field Day meant everything. The support of these athletes peers turned simple activities into big victories and made every athlete feel seen, valued, and unstoppable.

Inclusion isn’t just being invited to the field—it’s having people in your corner, lifting you up every step of the way. 🙌

Thank you for being the kind of teammates and friends who make a difference Rimrock kids!!

Rocky Mountain Down Syndrome Association Western Slope loves that we could help make this happen!!

What an incredible day at our Western Slope Step Up Walk yesterday!

We are still soaking it all in. The joy, the laughter, the connections, and the powerful reminder of what this community is all about. Today was a true celebration of our friends with Down syndrome and the families, supporters, and champions who show up year after year.

This was our 9th annual Western Slope Walk, which is pretty amazing to think about. Nine years of building community, growing this event, and showing what inclusion really looks like. We are already so excited to see what year 10 brings.

We’ll be sharing professional photos soon, but we couldn’t wait to post a few of the wonderful moments our team captured today. These snapshots already say so much about the heart of this event.

A huge shoutout to our Western Slope team. Stephanie and Alicia absolutely knocked it out of the park, and we are so grateful for the leadership, energy, and heart they bring to this event. And a special thank you to Laura for everything she does behind the scenes and beyond. This day would not be what it is without all of you.

For those who are newer to our community, the Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk is more than just a walk. It is an acceptance and awareness event, a celebration, and a fundraiser that directly supports RMDSA programs, resources, and community events right here on the Western Slope. Every dollar raised stays local and helps ensure individuals with Down syndrome and their families have access to the support and connection they deserve.

To our team captains, sponsors, volunteers, and every single person who showed up today or supported from afar, thank you. You make this possible.

More to come soon, including those professional photos

We are so grateful for all of you 💙💛
