The Western Slope closed out their pumpkin patch season with the newly established Delta/Montrose area Family Community Group get together at Punk's Pumpkin Patch !! What a fun afternoon with these gentleman!!

Slides, bump and jumps, pumpkins, food and great company plus much more made Friday evening a memorable experience.

Can't wait to see this group grow!!! If your interested in being apart of this community group please feel free to message and we can get you on the email list for our next activity!!! Any family with a child with down syndrome is welcome regardless of age:)

This is just a glimpse of some of the families in our Western Slope Community. As we close out the month of October we had to recognize our families!!

Behind every individual with Down syndrome is a family filled with love, strength, hope, and dreams. 💙 These families celebrate milestones, overcome challenges, advocate for inclusion, and remind the world that every individual deserves to be seen, valued, and celebrated.

This journey is filled with beautiful moments, unexpected lessons, and a love that runs deep. And no family should ever have to walk it alone. 💛

This October, we celebrate not only individuals with Down syndrome, but also the families who stand beside them, cheer them on, and help create a world where acceptance is the norm, inclusion is the standard, and differences are celebrated. 🧦💙💛

💙💛 COMMUNICATION LOOKS DIFFERENT FOR EVERYONE. 💛💙

Not everyone communicates with words, and that’s okay! 💙💛

People with Down syndrome may communicate through speech, sign language, gestures, communication devices, facial expressions, or body language. Some may speak fluently, while others may need different ways to share their thoughts, needs, and feelings.

Different ways of communicating. The same need to be heard, understood, and included. 💛

✨ Be patient. Be present. Listen beyond the words. Never underestimate what someone has to say.

💙 Awareness starts with understanding. Inclusion starts with acceptance. 💛

Nevaeh from the Western slope of Colorado was famous for a day!! What an experience to see her picture featured in Times Square!

It was an awesome experience for Nevaeh and our family! I wanted to advocate our culture to show others that we are from the Dine Nation! Our little Nevaeh takes us to various places in the states and hopefully one day globally!

We are so excited you were able to experience this opportunity ❤️
