Grand Valley Anglers Grand Valley's local chapter of Trout Unlimited Grand Valley Anglers was chartered over 30 years ago and has a membership of over 300.

We are the largest chapter of Trout Unlimited and the Federation of Fly Fishers in western Colorado. Our member-base stretches across the Grand Valley, and includes Palisade, Grand Junction, and Fruita.

Volunteers Needed – West Creek Highway Cleanup!

Join the Grand Valley Anglers TU Chapter 319 for our annual highway cleanup along the beautiful West Creek corridor above Gateway, Colorado!

📅 Saturday, June 13, 2026

📍 Meet-Up Options:
• 9:00 AM – CDOT Lot at Hwy 50 & 32 Rd (to carpool)
• 10:00 AM – Picnic Pullout at Mile Marker 117 on Hwy 141 (about 6 miles upstream from Gateway)

We'll provide:
- Trash bags
- Grabber sticks
- Lunch

Please bring:
- Water
- Sunscreen
- Safety vest (if you have one)
- Fishing gear
- Gloves

After the cleanup, we plan to enjoy some fishing together! Please note that poison oak is present in this area, so dress accordingly.

Help us keep this special stretch of West Creek clean and healthy for anglers, wildlife, and future generations.

This month’s meeting will feature a special presentation from our Trout in the Classroom students! Come hear the kids share stories and adventures from this past year raising trout in their classroom with support from Grand Valley Anglers.

It’s always inspiring to see the next generation of anglers and conservationists in action! Bring a dish to share and come celebrate a great year of learning, fishing, and conservation with us!

What a way to end the Trout in the Classroom year! Our last tank released their fish, got to cast with our volunteers, and have a great day outside!!

Another class missing their trout they previously released got to share out about their experience and everything they learned from this program.

Trout in the Classroom is a wonderful educational experience, but it’s also an opportunity for kids to get outside, expand their learning, and fall in love with conservation.

152 trout released into the Gunnison River today with Grand River Academy!

Grand Valley Anglers and Colorado Trout Unlimited showed up to help out with the release. The students got to dig for bugs and see the wonderful aquatic Macroinvertebrates that help keep this river happy.

GVA loves supporting Trout in the Classroom and watching these future conversationalists show off their hard work!!
