Story time:

In 2017, we held our very first prom giveaway for young girls living in a shelter. It was about more than dresses it was about confidence, feeling joy, and being seen.

Fast forward to 2025, inspired by , we planned to bring it back but this time as a fundraiser. (Funds are low)

By October, everything was ready. Partners secured, flyer designed, details locked in.

But then, everything shifted.

Our founder, Sie Blue, received a call from the Detroit Police Department . Five seniors currently experiencing homelessness; four young women and one young man at COTS needed support for prom.

At that moment, the plan changed.

We let go of the fundraiser and moved into action to make this happen.🐝

This flyer never made it out.

Due to confidentiality and protecting the students’ privacy, there will be no updates shared.

However, we wanted to share this flyer so you can see the sponsors who stepped up early on. Please take a moment to support them and give them a follow.

We are raising funds to support a young trans woman escaping a trafficking situation. While short-term funding is covering her rent, she urgently needs help covering utilities, as most local resources don’t support these expenses. She is actively engaged in therapy, receiving support from nonprofit agencies, and working hard to fully separate from her abusers. However, as a trans woman, she faces additional challenges accessing resources, compounding the usual barriers to securing unrestricted funds for basic living expenses during this critical time. Her goal is to secure employment in the coming months, but right now, every contribution makes a significant difference. If you can spare (even$1helps)
