🎉 ADVOCACY WIN FOR OHIO DENTISTS!

A new law supported by the Ohio Dental Association takes effect today, bringing greater fairness to the dental insurance “clawback” process.

Substitute Senate Bill 162 reforms the process insurers use to recover payments they previously made to health care providers. Under the new law:

🦷 Insurers have one year instead of two years to recover overpayments.

🦷 Providers have 60 days instead of 30 days to respond to an overpayment notice.

The ODA advocated for these reforms and provided testimony to lawmakers about the administrative and financial burdens insurance clawbacks can place on dental practices.
