We’re honored to work alongside Sanctuary Night as they participate in the Occumetrics® workplace wellbeing assessment and implementation process—an important step toward strengthening organizational culture, supporting employee wellbeing, and creating sustainable workplace change.

The Occumetrics® workplace wellbeing assessment was designed to help organizations better understand the workplace factors that matter most to their employees. Through a combination of validated staff surveys, focus groups, leadership interviews, and comprehensive reporting, organizations receive meaningful data and actionable recommendations rooted in employee feedback and best practices for healthy workplaces.

While we specialize in behavioral health organizations, the Occumetrics® process can benefit any workplace seeking to better understand workforce challenges, improve employee satisfaction, strengthen retention, and foster healthier organizational culture.

We appreciate Sanctuary Night’s willingness to invest in their staff and take intentional steps toward creating a healthier workplace for all. Their participation reflects a meaningful commitment to growth, collaboration, and employee wellbeing.

As we approach the close of Mental Health Awareness Month, we are continuing to advocate for our community!

MHAOhio Executive Director Tonya Fulwider spoke at the Ohio Statehouse as Senator Willis E. Blackshear Jr. completed his 72-mile walk for Mental Health Awareness Month. Senator Blackshear walked from Dayton to Columbus to raise awareness and advocacy for mental health.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we are reflecting on all areas of wellness and self-care. For many MHAOhio team members, music is both healing and an outlet of self-expression.

At our staff retreat this month, we compiled a playlist with everyone’s favorite songs — tracks that help us recharge, reflect, feel seen, and find joy. 🎶💚

From calming melodies to energizing anthems, music reminds us that caring for our mental health can look different for everyone. What’s a song that supports your wellness journey? Drop it in the comments ⬇️

The MHAOhio team is proud to for Mental Health Month! 💚

Throughout May, we’re encouraging everyone to wear green and raise funds to support more good days, together. Every dollar raised for Mental Health America of Ohio helps people access the tools, support, and resources they need to care for their mental health and well-being.

Join us in showing that mental health matters — in every community, for every person.

Connection, rest, reflection, and joy are not extras — they are essential to sustaining mental health work. 💚

Recently, the MHAOhio team gathered for a staff retreat focused on building trust, creating space for vulnerability, and reconnecting with one another beyond our day-to-day work. As our organization continues to grow and evolve, taking time to pause, laugh, learn, and simply be together mattered deeply.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to invest in our team and the relationships that strengthen our mission every day. Thank you to everyone who helped create such a meaningful experience filled with honesty, care, and joy.

Because caring for communities starts with caring for each other.

A special thank you to our facilitator, Chelsea Elliott, MSW, and Donte Woods-Spikes for capturing the day and creating this video!

New marketing material just dropped and debuted at Hilltop Library Make-A-Day! 📚✨

MHAOhio PRS staff Yasmin and Jon were proud to represent MHAOhio at the “Stronger Minds, Stronger Communities” pop-up held at the Hilltop Branch of Columbus Metropolitan Library. The event brought together community partners, resources, and support services centered around mental health, wellness, and connection. 💚

As Peer Recovery Supporters (PRS) at MHAOhio, Yasmin and Jon work to empower individuals through lived experience, advocacy, encouragement, and connection to resources that support recovery and overall wellness. Events like these help strengthen relationships in the community while reminding people that support is always available.
