Week 4: Dennis
While we are all at home during these times, it is a great opportunity to find the time to learn new things. One such topic, which we are promoting today, is how to practice a vegetarian or vegan diet. Today, I will be sharing with you vegan tacos I made the other day. The ingredients are simpleācorn tortillas, vegan chorizo (Trader Joeās), peppers, salsa verde, hot sauce, corn. Of course, you are free to add any ingredients you wish. To me, creating vegetarian dishes can be as simple as stir-frying vegetables and some form of plant-based protein. All you need is an open-mind and some research. I had to do some research when I first began eating vegetarian in 2011 in order to make sure I was able to get all the nourishment I need. In fact, I found out that I was able to get all the necessary vitamins and proteins from plant-based sources. There are many opportunities to be creative when coming up with vegetarian dishes, and I think it is possible for anyone to try. Eating vegetarian for a single day a week, or even for a single meal each day, can make a positive impact on the world. I strongly encourage everyone to try this out and share your ideas with us and your friends! If you are willing to try out being vegetarian, join us for the and pledge here: https://tzuchi.us/vvm.
