This article highlights the importance of expanding access to children’s vision care and ensuring students have the resources they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom. It was great to see leaders, including Governor Mike DeWine, CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz, and Congressman Mike Carey, recognizing efforts that help improve care and outcomes for Ohio families.

A creative new approach to community health is coming to downtown Toledo! 👏Neighborhood Health Association is transforming a historic downtown building into Doc Martin’s Remedy Shoppe and Apothecary — a space that will combine a full-service pharmacy, medical and dental care, behavioral health services, and even an old-fashioned soda fountain experience.

The project highlights how Community Health Centers continue serving as trusted partners of choice by creating innovative, welcoming spaces that expand access to care while strengthening the communities they serve.

Neighborhood Health Association continues demonstrating the impact Community Health Centers have as trusted providers and partners of choice in their communities through a new collaboration with the Lucas County Sheriff’s Office DART unit and the Lucas County Health Department.

Tomorrow is Global Accessibility Awareness Day!

We are beyond proud to say Five Rivers Health Centers use 49 different languages to communicate effectively with our patients by using virtual translators. In all of our centers, you will find translations in: English, Spanish, Arabic, Swahili, and Kinyarwanda!

We will continue to try and break down barriers and bridge the gap for our patients, because everyone deserves access to affordable, comprehensive health care!

In a recent conversation on integrated care and community health, Diamond Williams, Executive Director at the Zepf Center, reflected on the importance of trust in healthcare: “People just want to be heard—they just want someone to take the time to truly listen to their concerns and hear them and really work alongside them.”
