🎄The Dickens of a Christmas Website is LIVE! 🎄
Mark your calendars for Friday and Saturday, December 4–5, 2026, because historic Chestertown is once again stepping back into 1840s London for a weekend of magic, music, and holiday cheer!
Watch the video above for a sneak peek of our newly launched website, and head over to mainstreetchestertown.org/dickens-festival/ to check out what’s brand new and returning this year:
✨ What’s New:
The Great Scrooge Off: Think you’ve got the best "Bah, humbug!" in Kent County? Take the stage for a chance to win top-hat glory and downtown spending money!
Ghost Scavenger Hunt: Spot the four wandering spirits downtown, call them by name and collect Victorian keepsakes.
Dickens Destinations: Visit shops throughout downtown offering Dickensian themed specials and activities (more coming on them soon!)
Tiny Tim’s Corner: Now located on the Courthouse Lawn for easier family fun, featuring a falconer with a hawk and owl, lawn games, and children's storytime.
🎩 Beloved Traditions Returning:
Friday evening bonfires, oysters, and fire dancers on High Street ➔ Horse-drawn carriage rides ➔ London Row Artisans Market ➔ The Dickens Victorian Tea ➔ The Holiday Home Tour ➔ Tarot in the Victorian Parlor ➔ Special merchant stops, window portraits, and Dickensian cocktails around town!
Most events are free to attend, but popular ticketed tours and teas fill up fast. Visit the link to view the full schedule, plan your weekend, and get ready to dress like the dickens! 📜🎩✨
