Good Morning fellow Thrivers and Warriors! The Sun is a welcome sight this morning! ☀️❤️

Announcing our new online merchandise shop!

https://www.causeteam.com/shop/detail/thrive-brain-cancer-walk-merch

We are thrilled to announce we’ve been working hard with a brand new tshirt merchant and company. Cause Team came into our lives and we couldn’t be happier! We are just doing a limited number of options as we are short on time, but look forward to building a year round shop and adding more options in the future!

Please note the quick turn around we have! Shop CLOSES ON APRIL 30th! If you don’t have your order in by then, plan to purchase from the limited stock at the walk!

There is a ship to home option and your tshirt will arrive approximately May 15th time frame. If you choose the local pick up, we will get it, but there will not be a guarantee I can get it to you before walk day! Just FYI

We have a NEW “Be Kind & Give Care” tshirt this year in honor of Chad Winterhof and his selfless life motto. We picked a different color just for fun, and we are in LOVE with the design Cause Team came up with! Make sure to grab one of EACH!

Our sponsors will be on the back of the grey walk tshirt only.

Happy shopping! 🧠🩶💪🏻

Oooh! I almost forgot, the tshirts are printed on Gildan this year. If you remember our VERY FIRST walk tshirt from 2021, it’s the same. We’ve been told year after year it’s everyone’s favorite and wears and washed so well! We listened!! 😘

It is with deep sadness that we inform you of a Bright Light now dimmed in Kate Getty. She went to be by the Lord on March 17. She was one of our bravest warriors who not just fought for herself but advocated for others and helped us in raising awareness. She was one of the best of us. We send our deepest condolences to her husband Tim and son Brennan. May God hold you in the palm of His hand and may you rest in Eternal Peace. We love you Kate! ❤️🙏👼

It’s Giving Tuesday!! If you are looking for a great place to give back or pay it forward, we’d love your consideration this year!

In 2025 we held 2 big fundraisers including our walk in May and our Burger and Beer event in August. We are privately funding breakthrough research at the most critical time in our country’s history! We are supporting brain cancer patients and their families.

Did you know the average life span of someone diagnosed with Glioblastoma is 18 months? Time is not on our side my friends!

Please consider any amount this holiday season. We have big goals to reach and curing cancer is one of them! With your help, we WILL make it happen.

Wishing you all much Love, Health and Happiness this holiday season!

Jenni and Brittney

"Sisters by cancer," and "Heaven sent," Brittney and Jenni both lost their husbands to in 2023. Out of their shared grief and determination, they continue to fight for others, and help change the future of Iowa who is currently the 2nd highest state in the nation with cancer (and rates continually rising).

Join Brittney, Jenni and THRIVE's journey to support Iowa families! You can stand with us by: donating to fund local cancer research, sharing our mission with your network, following us on Facebook, and/or taking action reaching out to us at 👉🏻 https://www.thrivebraincancer.com

Cancer in Iowa isn’t just about research studies and statistics. Real Iowans and their families are behind each diagnosis.

🪽 Chad Winterhof gained his angel wings two years ago 🪽

We remember and honor Chad's life, as well as his strength, faith, and compassion that touched everyone he encountered. Chad didn’t just fight — he faced it with inspiring courage and grace.

Chad said a prayer after being diagnosed with , one of the most aggressive forms of cancer. He then discovered with his determination and attitude, "What I WANT to do, and CAN do - are becoming the same thing." He experienced what he called, "the GIFT of cancer," ...to see the love in others, amazing moments of generosity, and people at their best. He then made it his mission to make life better for the next person who may walk a similar journey.

Chad was filled with passion and declared, "I AM ON FIRE 🔥" which sparked the THRIVE mission. He asked us to carry on that spark, and light the way to accomplishing his vision of creating a safe, effective, affordable and accessible treatment for all. "We are going to cure brain cancer. We are going to change lives and save lives." Listen to the confidence in Chad's voice, "We are going to get there. It is going to happen. I promise you. And I deliver."

Chad's life was a testament to selflessness, love, and unwavering faith. And though he is no longer physically with us, his spirit lives on in every person he encouraged, every heart he touched, and every prayer he whispered on behalf of someone else.

Chad, we miss you dear friend... sending you so much love today and everyday. Thank you for changing the world, and you can count on us to carry your mission forward!

Love,
🔥Your THRIVE Family🔥

"THRIVE at the journey. THRIVE at family. THRIVE at helping others." - Chad Winterhof (3.14.1978 - 10.3.2023) 💪

A huge THANK YOU to the Union Knights Football team in LaPorte City, Iowa! 🏈❤️🖤

Every year, this team pours their hearts into selling SACK (SIDS, Autism, Cancer – Kick ‘em all!) shirts, to rally their community and raise funds for causes that matter to them. This year, the seniors chose to honor their young friend who passed, Marc Mahood, by donating to our organization to the fuel the fight against .

Jenni and Brittney from the THRIVE team were grateful to attend the special SACK football game to cheer on the winning Knights, and be in the stands with fans to hear the announcement that this community’s efforts and generosity helped raise an incredible $782! 👏

Union Knights, the high school football team, La Porte City and Kelly Shelton — thank you for carrying Marc’s spirit forward and showing us what it means to fight with heart — on and off the field.
