Members of our community are in great need of our support. Help us bring La’Rell’s family hope and healing after this tragic loss.

On July 11, 18-year-old La'Rell Rushing was tragically killed in a shooting in Cedar Rapids. As his family prepares to celebrate his life on July 18, his mother, Denine, hopes the service will also be a powerful call for healing and a reminder of the devastating impact of gun violence. In her words, "Two families have lost sons."

We are inviting our community to support Devine and her children through this incredibly trying time, through donations and volunteers to assist with the repass and other expenses.

Click below to donate and email us at [email protected] if you would like to volunteer or receive updates.

Help the Rushing family and our greater Cedar Rapids community in this time of tragic loss
