For the month of September we encourage you to begin having conversations with the youth in your life by joining in on our 30 Days to Safe Conversations challenge!

Don’t know where to start? That’s okay! We created a 30 Days to Safe Conversations calendar to go with this months challenge.

Each day we will post one of these questions to remind you to chat with your youth. Get curious, listen, and don’t overreact if they share something that alarms you.

Back-to-school season has a way of reminding us how quickly they grow.

One day you're packing crayons and Velcro shoes. The next, you're sending them off with phones, group chats, and a digital world that doesn't end when the school bell rings.

We can't be with our kids every moment of every day.

But we can make sure they know there's always one place they can come when something doesn't feel right.

So as you're packing backpacks and labeling folders this week, don't forget to pack something even more important:

A conversation.

Because the safest kids aren't the ones who know all the rules.

They're the ones who know they never have to face something alone.
