Who wants to go to the movies tonight? The thriller Whalefall plays at 7:30p tonight at Marcus Theaters. The story is VERY loosely based on Jonah from the Bible and deals with a broken relationship between a father and son. Author Daniel Kraus (a childhood friend of Pr. Craig's) will talk to us afterwards about the story. Get your tickets and join in the fun! https://ticketing.marcustheatres.com/seat/layout?Siteid=2523&FeatureCode=HO00007824&SDate=2026-10-15&STime=19%3A35&Perf=172149&fbclid=IwY2xjawU6Ot9leHRuA2FlbQIxMABwZG9mAWJyaWQRMTRMc1g3NUZ1aFJISG1RbmdzcnRjBmFwcF9pZBAyMjIwMzkxNzg4MjAwODkyAAEezG6vR50yenU4xdxjhWKXry9PoWa9k9q388LCz54toYruttxgjhFjeb32WRk_aem_KR9R2spFxGfpkBzSdQq_8Q

What a great day of making a difference in the fight against hunger yesterday! More than two dozen people from First Lutheran walked and packed meals in Marion as part of the Linn County CROP Walk. Special thanks to FLC’s own Jasmine Wu for organizing the entire effort. Rachel Cogdill said, “The increased number of community participants made an impact on us. It felt great to be involved in such a worthy cause. Jasmine Wu does such a great job.” Kudos, Church!

Several First Lutheran Members walked our neighborhood today to let our neighbors know we are back as a voting site now that our construction project is done. Organizer and Hunger & Hope Team Chair Patricia Mumm said, “I feel great. What a great way to spend a Saturday morning connecting with church peers, spreading the word or not only about voting but welcoming others to come visit our church. I also feel inspired to go to a Coe Football game.” People were tailgating around Coe getting ready for a home game while we were out enjoying the sunshine on this beautiful fall day God has made.
