The Alliant Energy Lightline bridge final tower section is placed! Very cool! This 164 foot tower will be lit up, and will shine down upon people walking, running and cyclists using the bridge.

The Cedar Rapids Parks and Rec are working on the Sac and Fox trail. Please be respectful of the workers and stay out of those areas. More information about where they're working and the state of the trail can be found at the link.

🚧🌳 Sac & Fox Trail Update

Our Parks team continues working to clean up the Sac & Fox Trail following recent heavy rain and flooding.
Currently, the only passable section of the trail is between Rosedale Trailhead and Bertram Trailhead.
Here's where things stand:

🟢 Rosedale to Bertram: Passable
🚧 Sun Valley to Rosedale: Crews are actively working on this section.
🌊 Bertram to Cole Street: Water is still covering a large portion of the trail.

Please avoid sections that are not passable and give our crews room to continue their work.

We appreciate your patience and will share updates as conditions improve! 💚

Starting October 5th, take the 12th Ave bridge to Czech Village by car! Feel free to still walk or bike the 16th Ave bridge!

The survey will take five minutes or less of your time. While it is designed for those who walk, run, bike, or exercise your pets on the trail they also want input from those who are not using the trail, and if they are not using the trails why they don’t use the trails.
