If you are looking for other ways to show your appreciation to the teachers and staff, please consider sending a thank you note or having your child draw a picture. The National PTA has provided some templates below that can either be printed or filled out digitally and emailed.

Teacher Appreciation Potluck Lunch!!

Teaching is truly Heart Work and at JSA we are very lucky to have such amazing teachers and staff helping our children grow!! During Teacher Appreciation Week (May 2 - May 6), the JSA PTA is organizing a potluck lunch as a small token of our appreciation for our heart-working teachers and staff. The potluck lunch will be held on Wednesday, May 4th. Give us your Hy-Vee receipts!
Next week is the final week for this year's Hy-Vee Cash 4 Students program. Every receipt turned in will earn $$ for JSA! Classes will compete to see who can bring in the most receipts and earn a PIZZA PARTY!

***THE RESULTS ARE IN***
The winners of the 2022 JSA Coin Drive are:
Upstairs: Mrs. Gorkow's class, with a total of $191.11!
Downstairs: Mrs. McCullough's class, with a total of $284.06!
Congratulations! Those are some outstanding numbers! You've definitely earned your reward party!
As a school, JSA brought in a spectacular $1636.58!! That is way beyond what we were hoping for! Every classroom did so well, in fact, that the PTA will be giving EVERY STUDENT a popsicle on Discovery Day this Friday! You all EARNED it! Go JSA!

****COIN DRIVE UPDATE, DAY 3****
Dress-up Dimes Thursday was the best day so far, with a daily total of $318 collected by students! AMAZING!
That brings our grand total for the school to $579! We are CRUSHING it, JSA!
Ms. McCullough's class has pulled ahead on first floor with a total of $61.84 collected so far, while Ms. Gorkow's class is still the second floor leader with a total of $83.15!
Can your class take the lead on this last day? BRING IN THOSE QUARTERS for Quirky Quarters Friday! Dress quirky or silly!

****COIN DRIVE UPDATE****
The first two days of the Coin Drive have been OUTSTANDING!
On Pajama Pennies Tuesday, students brought in a total of $120. That's over 12,000 pennies!
Neon Nickels Wednesday was even better, with a total of $141, bringing the two-day total to a whopping $261! Wow!
The top classroom so far are Ms. Fisher on the first floor with a two-day total of $31.18, and Ms. Gorkow on the second floor with a two-day total of $32.95! Keep up the great work!
Tomorrow is Quirky Quarters Friday, the last day of the Coin Drive!
Wear something quirky or silly, and BRING IN THOSE QUARTERS!!
GO JSA!!

Wednesday will be NEON NICKELS day for the JSA Coin Drive! Bring nickels and wear something neon or brightly-colored!

Tomorrow is the first day of the 2022 JSA COIN DRIVE!!
The theme will be PAJAMA PENNIES! Students can wear their favorite PJ's and bring pennies to their classroom!
Look for the container in your classroom with the piggy bank on it!

Start looking under the couch cushions and checking your pockets, because next week is the 2022 JSA COIN DRIVE!!
Your student's classroom will be collecting coins every day.
Each day will feature a specific coin and a clothing theme. The classrooms from each floor with the highest total 💲💲 amount will earn a party of their choice!!
