It was exciting to be back at the Izaak Walton indoor range for some rifle practice last night! It's been a long layoff, but our shooters quickly returned to form, with Caleb S. and Grant B. both earning their Pro-Marksman credentials.

Crew members are providing both coaches and archers during the winter archery season. It was a productive day at the range, with our coaches helping several new shooters significantly improve their groupings. Two archers even completed their archery merit badges!

In the midst of a busy fall season, our wranglers found time to enjoy completing the Horsemanship Merit Badge. The Greenbriar Riding Academy provided beautiful horses and top-notch instruction. After a somewhat nervous start, our participants got into the groove and ended with some relaxed time in the saddle.

How to spend a perfect early fall day? Try hosting a couple of hundred Cub Scouts at the Camp Wakonda Shooting Range! The Crew made some new friends, providing shooting experiences .....and then topped off their range time helping them decorate their own pumpkin cookies!

It's hard to pick just one favorite activity from our Sunday repertoire, which included completing an Eagle Scout Project at Pathfinder, starting the Horsemanship Merit Badge, and the Crew planning our Halloween event. But it's hard to beat certifying another dedicated archery coach by helping an excited group of Cub Scouts experience the sport of archery!

Today was the BIG Finish in Lisbon! We arranged a special opportunity to learn local cooking from a leading chef. She guided us to the market to select ingredients, then everyone returned to her kitchen to make an amazing meal. We enjoyed a selection of charcuterie, two main courses, and a unique dessert. It's truly amazing what these guys can do when they put their phones away!

And one final pass at the beach revealed some amazing, life-sized sand sculptures. We'll be leaving the hostel at 6 AM for the long journey home.......

It was an early morning start today, but we received bad news at the outset when we learned that our fishing charter captains decided to not work today (with virtually no notice). This was despite confirmed reservations and deposits being made. On the other hand, the Scuba team pulled off their dive without a hitch.

Fortunately, Lisbon offers many options, and we found plenty of things to do after the team returned to the hostel for their 3-hour "naps". Take a look at their excitement at breakfast in the photo below.
