In 1958 we began our ministry proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ on the corner of Midway Drive and West Post Road in Cedar Rapids as Cedar Hills Evangelical Free Church. In 2008 we moved to our new location as Stonebridge Church at 1829 Stoney Point Road, SW. We believe the church is the place where God connects His people together into a family. We connect in many venues but primarily in home gatherings in every neighborhood of our region. Whether you are new or have been coming for a while, we want to help you get connected.

A new sermon series begins on Sunday!

As we trust God to multiply our gospel impact through our SIX:321 vision, essential to each part of that initiative is a healthy understanding of the local church.

In the book of Titus, the Apostle Paul emphasizes the importance of things like gospel dependence, godly leadership, sound doctrine, and godly living. As such, Paul’s letter to Titus is kind of like his handbook for a healthy church: here’s what it looks like and what it takes for the church to grow and function according to God’s good design.

So join us this fall as we consider the essential components of a healthy church.

Even if we lose our reputation, or a friend, or a family member, or a job, even if we were to lose our very lives, we know that in the economy of the gospel, we’ve actually lost nothing. Because Jesus is everything. And no one can take him away.

That’s the kind of community that lasts. That’s the kind of community we were made for, and redeemed for. That’s the kind of community that causes the world to sit up and take notice. One that’s able to extend beyond natural bonds and break down worldly barriers, demonstrating the transforming power of the gospel and the supreme worthiness of Jesus, even in the face of opposition. A community that wouldn’t exist and couldn’t function unless the gospel is true.
