🎉 We’re so excited to share the winners of this year’s MannKind Al Mann Centennial Scholarship! 🎉

Al Mann was a true visionary in diabetes innovation, and his legacy continues to inspire us to support the next generation of leaders in science and healthcare.

This scholarship was created to empower young adults living with type 1 or type 2 diabetes who are pursuing studies in the life sciences and are passionate about making a difference in the diabetes community.

We’re deeply grateful to partner with and to make this possible!

And most importantly, congratulations to this year’s recipients. We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see where your journeys take you!

ATTN: Students with diabetes! The MannKind/Al Mann Centennial Scholarship is NOW OPEN!

If you qualify for this scholarship, we encourage you to apply here: https://hubs.li/Q03ZRwh90

This program will support young adults living with diabetes with a $10,000 scholarship distributed to 10 students ages 18-22, studying life sciences at a community college or university.

Wondering who Al Mann is? Wonder no more! He was an American physicist, inventor, entrepreneur, and philanthropist known for founding 17 companies and developing numerous groundbreaking medical and aerospace technologies, including the first rechargeable pacemaker and the insulin pump. Mann founded the company MannKind Corporation, which developed Afrezza, a rapid‑acting inhaled insulin for adults with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Mann’s vision was to offer an alternative to multiple daily insulin injections, making life easier for people with diabetes by using a non‑injection option. To honor his legacy, this scholarship seeks to empower young adults with diabetes to pursue their dreams in the life sciences.

Thank you to MannKind Corporation for their continued support of the young adult diabetes community.
