🎻 Big news, Boise Phil family! We are absolutely thrilled to officially welcome John Fawcett as our new Concertmaster and Langroise Trio Fellow.

John is an exceptional talent whose performance career spans from the West Coast to the Philharmonie de Paris. Raised in Central Oregon, joining the Boise Phil brings him full circle back to his Pacific Northwest roots. He recently completed degrees at the Cleveland Institute of Music and the Colburn School, and has performed with incredible ensembles and artists, including the Aspen Chamber Symphony, Pink Martini, and legendary pianist Martha Argerich.

Through a beautiful, long-standing collaboration established in 1991 by Gladys Langroise, John's role extends beyond our stage. He is also joining the faculty at The College of Idaho, where he will teach violin, coach chamber ensembles, and perform across the region with the world-class Langroise Trio.

"John brings a distinguished musical background, exceptional musicianship, and a genuine spirit of collaboration... We look forward to the musical partnership ahead."
— Eric Garcia, Boise Phil Music Director

John’s artistry and warmth were immediately felt during his guest week with us in May, and we cannot wait for you to experience his leadership on stage this coming season.

👇 Join us in giving John a massive Treasure Valley welcome in the comments!

Join us for an enchanting evening under the stars with the Boise Phil as we perform Vivaldi’s Four Seasons ! 🌹☀️❄️🍂

This concert promises to be a delightful experience, set against the picturesque backdrop of the ISF Venue. A set of four groundbreaking Baroque violin concertos that use vivid musical “word painting” to depict scenes from nature, birdsong, storms, barking dogs, and frozen landscapes based on accompanying sonnets.

What a way to end the Boise Phil 25/26 Season! This past weekend, we had the privilege of welcoming our incredibly talented guest pianist, Stewart Goodyear, who mesmerized the audience with his breathtaking performance of Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini. The energy in the room was electric as the orchestra soared to new heights with Fountains of Rome and Pines of Rome, transporting us to the Eternal City.

We also took a moment to recognize and celebrate the dedication and commitment of our retiring musician, viola player and Langroise Trio member Dave Johnson, who has given over 20 years of his life to the Boise Phil. His contributions to our organization will never be forgotten! We also honored 12 years of incredible service from our retiring Patron Services Coordinator, Nickie Shell, whose tireless efforts have ensured that every patron has had an exceptional experience.

As we welcomed over 1,600 patrons into our beloved music hall, The Morrison Center for the Performing Arts, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every patron, musician, staff member, donor, and supporter who made this incredible season possible. Your enthusiasm, passion, and dedication have fueled our success, and we're forever grateful. We're already counting down the days until next season!
