Amazing turnout of our annual Black Cliffs trail maintenance and cleanup event! With over 30 volunteers, this was one of our best turn outs yet! Again we couldn’t do this work without the help of the climbing community. Thank you all for showing up, and putting in the work to maintain our backyard crag.

All Black Cliffs seasonal closures have ended! Thanks to all who helped the Boise climbing community maintain climbing access to the Black Cliffs this year by observing the seasonal closures that allow raptor nesting! See you out there!

It looks like the Red Tails have successfully fledged. You may still see them flying around the area, but they have left their nest! We are lifting the closure at Face Canyon and Highway Face. Thanks for obeying the closure, and watch for future announcements for other areas.

The Department of the Interior today announced a 60-day public comment period on proposed recreational climbing guidance and potential updates to wilderness study area management policies for lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and National Park Service.
