Love-A-Bull was organized to educate and to advocate on behalf of the American Pit Bull Terrier, the American Staffordshire Terrier, the Staffordshire Terrier, and Bull Terrier (all breeds commonly referred to as “pit bulls”) and pit bull mixes.

A HUGE thank-you to Travis County Strength for hosting Lifting for Love-A-Bull and to everyone who lifted, cheered, donated, or grabbed some merch! Together, you raised $6,251 for the dogs in our care!✨

Thank you for always showing our rescue dogs so much love in person. Every belly rub, hello, and minute spent getting to know them means so much to us. Our dogs were pretty happy to be included🤍

It’s not just spooky season 👻, it’s Pitbull Awareness Month!

Love-A-Bull is a pittie rescue, advocacy, and education organization located in Austin, TX, since 2008. Our biggest message? Every dog is an individual, not a stereotype!

Yesterday we introduced Curry… well, turns out Curry had a little friend make the trip to Austin,Tx with her! Meet baby Bingo! At around 6 months old and only 22 pounds, Bingo is a tiny, happy, wiggly little guy who LOVES people. He’s cuddly, food motivated, very interested in other dogs, and loves a good chew bone. And when he gets excited? He does those classic pittie zoomies where it looks like he’s running with the emergency brake on!

Bingo came into the shelter as a stray and showed signs that he may have spent a lot of his young life kenneled. But he had one very special person looking out for him, the woman who found him came back to the shelter to visit him every day, helping him socialize and making sure he knew he had a friend. She even got to witness his first baby tooth coming loose! Now Bingo is with Love-A-Bull and gets to learn all the things that come with being a puppy in a foster home, including potty training. He’s still just a baby, and we can’t wait to watch this little guy grow up!

Welcome, Curry! 🤍 This adorable 56-pound American Bully is squishy, wrinkly, and basically a happy little wiggle machine. She loves people (strangers included!), likes other dogs, is very food motivated, and will happily play with a squeaky toy… until she decides she’s tired and it’s time to be lazy. 😂 She’s also already proven to be a great car rider and recently spent a doggy day out hanging at an apartment and, most importantly, getting a pup cup.

Curry came into the shelter as a stray after showing up at someone’s home and deciding for an entire month that she simply wasn’t leaving. 😂 So let’s just say she’s a loyal girl. She’s friendly, chill, ridiculously wiggly, and just an all-around good girl. Think Curry could be your girl? Fill out an adoption interest form on our website love-a-bull.org! 🤍

Welcome Gorda, a 4-year-old girl who made her way to us from Corpus Christi! Gorda came into the shelter as a sick stray with hair loss and discharge from her eyes, but thanks to the care she received in South Texas she’s feeling so much better and was able to make the trip to Austin and start her next chapter with us!

And this girl is just HAPPY! She loves playing outside,is a big fan of the pool, and has done great with both male and female dogs. She’s social with people, easygoing, and just an all-around happy-go-lucky little chicky. 🐥🤍 We can’t wait to learn even more about her now that she’s in foster and starts her journey to finding her forever family! Adopt-A-Bull Josie is trying very hard to be the best girl, and we think she’s doing a pretty great job. 🥹🤍 She’s been working on her manners, leash skills, and all those important puppy things and when she’s not studying, she’s busy playing with other dogs, getting her energy out, and reminding everyone that she’s the silliest/ hoppiest gal!

She’s playful, social, loves other dogs, and would be such a fun addition to an active family. Josie is ready to put all that practice to use in a home of her own! Fill out an adoption interest form on our website love-a-bull.org to meet her!
