This Thursday, we’re going purple. 💜

During Domestic Violence Awareness Month, wearing purple is one way to show support for survivors and start a conversation about ending domestic violence. On October 15th, join PADV for Purple Thursday and wear purple in support of survivors of domestic violence and the work to build safer communities.

Participate from wherever you are: at work, at home, with your team or in your community.

Wear purple. Take a picture. Use hashtag and tag so we can share our community standing together.

Use your creativity and time to help create a little Halloween magic! 🎃

PADV is looking for trunk hosts and support volunteers to help make our Trunk or Treat celebrations special for children at both shelters.

Decorate a trunk or lend a hand; there is more than one way to help bring the fun.

Can't volunteer? Please donate candy or Walmart gift cards for costumes. Gift cards let children choose what they want to be for Halloween.

Abuse can include threats, humiliation, isolation, financial control or monitoring a partner through technology. Physical violence does not have to occur for abuse to be serious. Swipe to learn about some forms of abuse that can be harder to recognize.
