Tonight, Trump is once again expected to push conspiracy theories about voter fraud, voting machines, and foreign interference.

The facts are simple: federal courts pushed back and rejected these lies. The SAVE Act failed three times. And voters across the country continue to rebuff efforts that undermine free and fair elections.

As Trump takes the stage tonight, expect the same recycled conspiracy theories.
The facts haven’t changed. Our elections belong to the people.

This was always about creating fear and sowing doubt. We stand with the people who make our elections possible.

The SAVE Act is trying to come back.

Trump tried to hold the affordable housing bill hostage to force it through. It failed. Same reason the rigged maps in Georgia fell apart. When we move together, we win.

Independence and equality mean the freedom to vote. The freedom to elect our own leaders. To have a voice in our government. To have control over our bodies. To be true to who we are and pursue happiness without getting slapped back by discrimination.

Depending on your plans, today might mean picnics, barbeques, fireworks, or simply staying safe and cool during this heatwave (be sure to check on a friend or neighbor who may be struggling in the extreme weather).

But really, we honor the Fourth of July every day by doing our part to build a truly representative democracy, where all of us are fully free.
