We're so proud of these ladies from Pink Dragons Dragon Boat Team and Busting With Life Dragon Boat Team who have come together as Wāhine Toa IBCPC Dragon Boat Team.

They are on their way to France to compete at the International Breast Cancer Paddlers Commission participatory race with hundreds of other breast cancer survivor crews from all over the world.

Good luck, ladies. You're an absolutely inspiration to us all!

What a way to start the day! 🐬

The Polar Bears had some very special company on this morning’s paddle, spotting a huge pod of dolphins cruising through the Waitematā Harbour.

We were also delighted to have guest paddler Robyn joining us all the way from the Angry Dragons Qatar, although we can’t promise every Auckland paddle comes with its own dolphin show! 😄

A very special morning and a great reminder of just how lucky we are to paddle in this incredible part of the world. 💙

✨ Mānawatia a Matariki from the Auckland Dragon Boat Association! ✨

Matariki marks the Māori New Year and is named after the star cluster that appears in the winter sky.

It is a time to remember those who have passed, celebrate the present, share kai, and look ahead with hope to the year to come.

For ADBA, it is also a chance to celebrate the people who make our dragon boat community so special... our paddlers, volunteers, supporters, families and friends.

As we welcome Matariki, we reflect on the year behind us and look forward to new opportunities, strong connections and many more moments together on the water.

Wishing everyone a happy and meaningful Matariki ⭐🐉

It was a beautiful crisp evening at Westhaven Marina with our visiting whānau member, Cesar all the way from in the Philippines.

We smashed our 10km winter training session ending with a close 500m race!
