Queen Street Cricket Club

Queen Street Cricket Club A charity for cricketing enthusiasts. Working alongside
NZ Cricket Players Association to support low-decile youth cricket.

Scholarships and grants for gear and coaching available. The Queen Street Cricket Club is a gathering of Cricketing tragics. We are a charitable organisation assisting disadvantaged youth cricket in New Zealand. It encourages school children in NZ to play cricket and develop the attributes of sportsmanship and fair play, via providing facilities, equipment, tuition and coaching. The QSCC, establis

hed in 1989, is based on similar organisations in Australia and the United Kingdom. It is recognised as the "Cricketers' Charity" - the only organisation in New Zealand that focuses entirely on cricket to raise funds. The main source of funding is derived from the performance of the New Zealand Cricket team ("The Black Caps") in Test matches. Whenever a New Zealand Test Player records a "Duck" in a Test Match, QSCC members are fined the princely sum of five tax-deductible dollars.
