Wow, what a fantastic week we had in Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington! More than 650 attendees, 45 exhibitors, 19 sponsors, and more than 180 speakers came together to collectively share insights and knowledge, network, learn from their peers and be inspired.

We also enjoyed three pre-conference workshops, a Women in the Industry breakfast panel discussion, a gala dinner, two networking events and two site visits!

Check out some snapshots from last week.

❗ We're pleased to note that waste services have been categorised as Critical Users under Phase 4 of the National Fuel Response Plan.

The Government recently refined New Zealand’s Fuel Response Plan and confirmed what each Phase will incorporate, including confirming the the Phase 4 prioritisation.

Other key preparedness measures announced this week include:
⚫ Boosting supply resilience, such as securing an additional 90 million litres of diesel (around nine days’ supply) and expanding storage at Marsden Point
⚫ Improving import flexibility by aligning fuel specifications with Australia
⚫ Simplifying response phases, with fuel prioritisation now reserved as a last‑resort measure in the most severe scenario.
